Susan Smereka creates beauty in the emotional places where she doesn't see or feel calm. Susan is known for her abstract collages that originate with monotype printmaking and include sewn personal artifacts. Her colors and shapes exude a peaceful aura that people love to have to harmonize in their homes. 

Susan received her degree in Fine Arts from Concordia University, Montreal. She is based in Burlington, Vermont, and has shown widely in the state including Art on the Kent and Vermont State University. Susan challenges traditional ways of working that set her work apart. She has been developing her artistic practice for more than forty years.
